Academic Background:
I am a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Special Education. My academic path started at the Hebrew University, where I studied Psychology and Biology for a B.Sc. degree. Following the B.Sc, I completed a Master in Clinical Psychology at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev. During my Ph.D., under the supervision of Prof. Avishai Henik at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, I have taken an interdisciplinary approach to studying affective and cognitive processes and their interactions. After completing my Ph.D., I worked as a postdoctoral fellow for 2.5 years in the Department of Neurobiology at the Weizmann Institute of Science, under the supervision of Prof. Yadin Dudai and Prof. Rony Paz. There, I studied the cognitive processes that control memory and learning. Next, I worked as a postdoctoral fellow at the Social-Cognitive and Affective Neuroscience (SCAN) lab at Columbia University, led by Prof. Kevin Ochsner.

Research Interests:
I am interested in the relationship between cognitive control and emotion and how their regulatory interactions are influenced by training and learning. Understanding the mechanisms by which cognitive and emotion regulation training change emotional behavior, physiological reactions and neural responses, is essential for the development of efficient interventions for individuals with mental disorders. My research thus far included behavioral, psychophysiological (mainly Eye-Traking) and fMRI methods, that were applied on both healthy and sub-clinical populations.
