Affiliation Faculty / Department:
Department of Counseling and Human Development, Faculty of Education
Academic Background:
I completed my PhD in Psychology at Bar Ilan University, studying sex-and-gender dependent biobihavioral patterns of response to social stress, and received a postdoctoral NIMH fellowship at Columbia University Psychiatry, where I studied sex-dependent neural and behavioral patterns of response to traumatic stress, and continued this work at Tel Aviv Sourasky Medical Center, before joining the academic ranks of the University of Haifa.
Research Interests:
My lab explores the interplay between psychological, behavioral, social, and neuroendocrin factors in sex-and-gender dependent response to stress and trauma. Particularly, I am interested in factors associated with the impact traumatic events have on women throughout their development and life transitions, and how these factors may be harnessed towards both resilience building, preventative interventions, and towards clinical, ameliorative interventions.
